Big Burd Performance Systems brings results-driven sports massage and manual therapy to Nashville's athletes, active professionals, and anyone who demands more from their body.
Founded by Brandon Burd, LMT, WPC World Champion powerlifter, and NASM Certified Strength, Sports Nutrition, and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Big Burd Performance Systems was built from personal experience. Brandon survived a brain tumor as a kid, was diagnosed with a coordination disorder, and still went on to become a world champion. When his body started breaking down from years of hard training, he committed to learning how to rebuild it the right way. That journey is the foundation of everything BBPS does.
Whether you're pushing through hard training, recovering from an injury, or just trying to stay ahead of the wear and tear of an active life, our sports massage and Performance Bodywork sessions are built around you, your goals, your problem areas, and your timeline.

HANDS-ON THERAPY BUILT AROUND YOUR BODY
Our Performance Bodywork combines sports massage, deep tissue release, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, assisted stretching, mobility work, and corrective strategies into a fully personalized session. No cookie-cutter treatments, no guesswork on what you need, just targeted hands-on work that addresses the root cause of what's holding you back and gets you feeling your best so you can continue doing the things you love.
Each session is tailored to your training schedule, recovery needs, and performance goals.

SPORTS MASSAGE VS REGULAR MASSAGE?
Sports massage is more targeted and results-driven than a typical relaxation massage. Instead of a generalized routine, it focuses on the specific muscles, movement patterns, and problem areas tied to your training, sport, or daily activity — combining deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, and mobility techniques to help you recover faster and move better, not just relax.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GET A SPORTS MASSAGE?
It depends on your training load and recovery needs. Many athletes and active clients schedule sessions every 1-2 weeks during heavier training periods, while others come in less frequently for general maintenance. We'll help you find a cadence that fits your goals and schedule.
TRUSTED BY CLIENTS WHO MOVE
Brandon is a faithful Christian brother and I’m proud to give him my business. Incidentally he’s also very good at coaching and providing strength programming. His program has been great so far and I’m pumped to see how strong I can get with his support.
